Is this true about blu ray?

This is what is says from about.com explaning about blu ray.

"NOTE: Although, currently, high definition resolution can be accessed using the Component Video connections of an Blu-ray or HD-DVD player, this is at the movie studios' discretion. In the future, discs may be encoded to allow access to high definition resolution only via the HDMI connection.

The reason for this is that although the Component Video connections allow owners of older, pre-HDMI, or DVI-HDTV-equipped, HDTVs to enjoy the benefits of Blu-ray and HD-DVD, video signals traveling through component connections are more easily pirated that than those the travel through the digitally copy-protected signal traveling"

is this true because my TV has only got componant no HDMI. i am getting a

PS3 soon so does it mean i won't be able to view blu ray movie disks?

Yes, it is true. But, don't worry too much. Even if the content-owners (studios) want to confine users (us) to the hardest cable to pirate from (HDMI), it will be years before that is practical. Not everyone can use HDMI cables - many, many sets and A/V components from just a few years ago have component, but no HDMI. So, unless they want to piss of a very large number of potential customers, HD content will be available on component cables, too.

Also, the age of media - i.e. content delivered on physical media like a plastic disc (records, cds, dvds) or paper pages - (magazines, newspapers) - is rapidly coming to an end. In the future, we'll get everything online. It's starting now with things like On Demand from cable companies, HD video downloads to the XBox 360, and downloads via the internet.
