How do i hook car audio up in my home for surround sound use??
I want to hook up a subwoofer to my television for surround sound use.. How do I power the amplifier to run the woofer and get my sound from the television..

you don't for the reasons already stated. first of all, car audio amps run off of DC current, so powering the amp to run the sub requires a DC/AC converter. now the sub woofer, if it is a car audio sub, will not be design and engineered to perform in a home enviroment. it is design and engineered for the car enviroment. the cost of the DC/AC converter would probably be the price of a dedicated home audio sub. 12 volt should stay 12 volt. do it right. it is worth it.
