How do I hook my TV up to have sound come out of the audio reciever?
I recently hooked up my Reciever and surround sound.
How do I make it to where the noise of my TV/Cable come out of the surround sound? The speakers work for my DVD, VCR, CD Changer, Etc.
Answers:
You should have an Audio Out option on your TV, if available choose the digital optical output / connection type. You then connect this to the Optical In connection on your receiver. When listening to TV, the audio source will be different than DVD, on my receiver its the AUX input.

If you are using the port to send sound to the TV, then connect an RCA cable set from the TVs audio OUTPUT jacks to any available audio input port on the surround sound receiver and select it to hear the sound of the TV program.
