How do I get my Surround Sound to work with my 26inch Vizio?
My TV has 1 Component & it's being used by my Xbox 360. It also has 2 AV connections/1 VGA/1HDMI.
Problem is when I plug my white & red audio cords from surround sound reciever to TV's AV ports it gets no sound. I also tried unpluging just the audio components & putting white/red cords into them but that doesn't work either.
Can anyone help me out?

The audio cables should go from your Xbox to the receiver. I am assuming you want the sound coming out of the receiver rather than the TV speakers. I also think you may not be utlizing the receiver for switching your devices.
Xbox audio out ---->> Receiver audio input
Xbox component ---->> Receiver component in
You can use HDMI (preferred) or component for the connection from the receiver to the TV. HDMI carries both audio and video. If you are using component, you will need to connect the receiver audio out to the TV audio in.
