Digital Ariel?
I have just been quoted ￡225 for a digital ariel to be fitted which will serve 2 TV's, the installer will replace 1 off the cables as this is leaking. Is this a good price? Have you or anyone you known had a digital ariel fitted recently?

Sounds a bit over-priced, but it depends on the ease of access, and amount or time it takes. Why not get a couple more qoutes? You should be speak to the manufucturers for advice. if you live down south it sounds about right if you live up north it pure robbery where do you live seriouslyit will all depend on your location ie reception problems so on can you see the transmitter by line of sight without all the facts it will be impossible to give a defintive answer. but having said that it does seem to be too high. the average price in my area is ￡100 FOR ONE AERIAL TWO LEADS (south yorkshire) get one from Maplin or screwfix for ￡30,
a distrabution box is about ￡40 for a good one
￡10 for cable
￡5 for connectors.
Do it yourself.
BUT BE CAREFULL ON THE ROOF. i think thats a bit expensive. get some other quotes. do you live alone? if not then speak to the people you live with, maybe they will help you out
