if your TV has the av cables then you can. Sure! Why not? As long as the projector has the same kind of inputs as the Karaoke or DVD player has, then you're good to go.
NOTE: Some video projectors are Office-type and are built to hook up directly to a computer, So some models may not have the matching input, but most do.

Let me know how it goes. yes i have just a simple composite wire .but you will also need a sound system as most projectors have no sound or very little sound Just to clarify, of course you don't hook it up to the actual screen, but yes you can hook it up to a projector and use that to "throw" the picture onto a screen.
As long as you find a pj within the last few years you should have no issue with connectivity as most today give you quite a few options.
