Can I play NTSC Region 1 dvds on my Uk dvd player?

Is there anyway to get the Dvd players to play both Regions and formats?

It's possible if you can find the code that makes your DVD player multi-regional. Got my list on ebay for ￡1.

Although I think most new DVD players don't do this anymore. yes Unless you have a multi-region DVD player, then no. You can obviously use your computer to watch them though. I have an all region player. Cost ￡25 from Curry's.. Or for now, use your PC. If you can be able to set the regional code to "ALL" then you can play the the NTSC DVD on the PAL DVD Player! No because the player is formatted for PAL. That depends on whether you have a "multi-region" dvd player. You see DVD players are "locked" to be able to play DVDs for a certain region (people in UK are locked to region 2).

I did a search on google and came up with a random code which converted my existing Phillips DVD player to a regional one! Success! Moreover, at a duty free shop in an Australian airport, the woman at the till told me that there is a code for all DVD players to be able to do this - obviously it exists because of the disrepancies in the costs of DVDs all over the world. If we were able to happily watch PAL and NTSC1 DVDs on the same player, the UK will be forced to reduce the prices on their too-expensive DVDs, which of course, they do not want to do.
