Blu-ray worth the price?
I think a drastic improvement in quality of picture and sound is well worth the price of admission, but not everyone agrees... One must learn form the classics - If Ralph Kramden would be waiting for 3D television - he would still be waiting... You have to keep in mind that the blue-ray player is not meant to up-convert DVD's, its technology is for the blue ray specifically, granted if tuned correctly it will still look better than a regular DVD player but currently I would go w/ an up-convert player for the time being until blue-ray finally wins over HD-DVD. Save your money get a bigger TV! If you are a gamer or would get much use out of a PS3, then definitely yes, as it is also one of the best blu-ray players around. On a proper display the improved quality can be a huge difference. I suggest you use either Casino Royale or 300 on blu-ray, as they have 2 of the nicest visual qualities amongst any movies. However, it is not worth it yet if you do not have a quality hdtv.
