Blu-ray or HD-DVD?? Cant decide what to get.?
It is quite possible that HD DVD and Blu-ray can co-exist indefinitely,until DVD is replaced,if ever. I don't think either is going away anytime soon, and each has a nice chunk of exclusive content, so your best bet is to either buy both (either via a dual format player or two standalones) or just choose the format with the most content you want to see. For example, of the major summer blockbusters, here's how they break down:
HD DVD Only: Bourne Ultimatium, Shrek 3, Transformers, Knocked-Up, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry
Blu Ray Only: Spiderman 3, Simpsons, Pirates 3, Die Hard 4, Ratatouille
Both: Harry Potter 5, Rush Hour 3, Ocean's 13 If i were you i would save the money and buy the duel player sold by toshiba, it is very pricy but you will not have to worry which movies are coming out in what format. i have the hd dvd drive for the 360, eventually i will spend the money and buy the duel player. trust me having only one format sucks. there are alot of movies i like that are on blu-ray and alot on hd. Plus if you have the duel player you will not care who wins the format war. (if it ends) so if i were you i would wait, save the money, you don't want to be stuck with the losing format and have a 400 dollar peice of garbage. hope this helps. hd dvd better quality better movies and i just prefer the company
