Hi.Have you listened to the speakers you have in mind. That is the only way to be sure.Everyone has different opinions on what speakers sound best to their ears .So forget who makes them and buy the ones you like. Altec Lansing is a fairly low end manufacturer. Try Bose and get the best sound.
