Yes, it might lag a little. The best option is to always hardwire. If hard wiring is not an option then a three foot usb cable is ideal. Did you already buy your wifi adapter? because if you didn't you might wan to think about making you pc wireless, and you 360 hard wired. All you would need is to move your equipment(router, modem, cables) to you 360. Then buy a wireless USB adapter, a third of the price of the 360 adapter. Hardwire the 360 to the router, the router to the modem, and modem to wall. Set your new USB adapter next to you PC and your good to go. The main glich here is you have to have a phone line, or a cable outlet near your tv! Hardwiring is the way to go, because lagging is no fun! Hope this helped. It is said that the longer the cord and the attachments to lengthen it, there is a slit loss loss in effectiveness. We haven't noticed any though. possibly, if you want to be that far away why don't you just put some bateries in it and go wireless?
