If the others on Xbox 360 are playing a original Xbox 1 game like Halo 2 for example, yes. If the Xbox game works on the 360, then it will work exactly like on the original Xbox. Including Xbox Live support, even to old Xbox consoles. if they are playing an original xbox game., No, because the controls and games are completely different. (i.e. there is no white or black button on the Xbox360 controllers)
Sorry. Im not sure i understand what your asking but if your asking if someone who has an xbox can play online with someone that has an xbox 360, you can with most games such as Halo 2 and MLB 2K6 Only for original Xbox games.
