Will a Playstation 2 from the UK work in the USA?
I have a PS2 in the UK with scores of games. I want to bring it to my home in the USA, but I fear that I will lug it all the way from the UK to the USA for nothing because of the whole PAL/NTSC thing.

The a/c plug is not compatable here in the states, as you probably already know. It shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement one though. Also, I believe it also depends on the tv. If the tv is set up one way, it may only work that way. I highly doubt you'd be able to get it online either.
I'll bet it'll be torture to find games or accessories to work on your system once you get over here, since all they sell here is ntsc.
Maybe you should consider selling your system (I know, saved games, and losing all that time and money invested into that ps2 sux...) but overall it may be easier, and wiser to start from scratch, than to worry about compatability issues.

;o) You will need an adapter just to get the thing powered up. I don't think there is a PAL setting on an American PS2, just 4:3 and 16:9. Also, you might have problems with the region code on the game DVDs. If you have a lot of games, your best bet would be to buy a small TV in the UK and a power converter for the whole rig.
