Anyone out there have a Pinnacle T.V. Tuner?
I bought one this weekend at Best Buy, and I'm having a lot of trouble connecting it to my Direct T.V. (satillite). I have also connected it using the antennae it came with, but the programs are not coming through with enough quality that I would want to even think about recording them to a DVD! Anyone out there with a similar problem?? I am thinking of taking it back to the store for a refund. I have wasted my whole weekend trying to get it to work correctly! I have Windows Vista Premium on my laptop if that's of any consideration. PLEASE HELP!

Hi, Im using mine with XP Media Center. We have the same problem when i first installed it on my laptop. The software which included in the package was useless to me. If you have an XP Media Center OS you will get the best picture HD quality and you don't need to install the software. I dont have a cable provider, im just using the antenna and it is awesome. Im also using it as a DVR. Im not sure with Vista, maybe you can try to call Pinnacle customer service.
Goodluck!! I have one & used it with XP. I really should have returned it but I kept thinking it was just me. I never could get a good picture with it. I have the USB one & uses Pinnacle PCTV software that came with it. Not sure if it's the same one you have. I still have it but never use it & wish I'd have returned mine before it was too late. Hopefully someone else can tell you how to clear the picture up & get it working the way you'd like.
