Will this camera fit my needs?
For Christmas I'm asking for the new Sony CyberShot DSCT-50. It's touch-screen, 7.2 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, 3 inch LCD screen, etc. I'll only be using this camera to take basic pictures, not extensive photography. It's good quality right? I mean it's high priced but that could just be because it's compact & just came out.
I want to know if this camera will work with the memory card I currently have for my Nikon Coolpix3200. I have a San Disk 128 Megabyte card and I want to know if I'll need a different card for the Sony, so I can ask for that with the camera too.

I'd rather not see you get a camera with no optical viewfinder. LCD monitors eat batteries. Consider one of the following:
Canon Powershot SD600
Canon Powershot SD800 IS
Canon Powershot A640

With any of these cameras, please buy a decent memory card. I recommend a genuine Sandisk Ultra II (60X) or Extreme III (133X) of at least 1GB - preferably 2 GB - for either camera. Lexar is another excellent card supplier and they have the "Professional" 133X as well as the Platinum 80X to choose from. Both Lexar and Sandisk come with image recovery software and limited lifetime warranties. the camera is good enough for basic famly vacation type pictures
