Will the lenses for my Canon AE 2 fit a new digital Canon Rebel 350XT?

Digital rebels will accept any EOS mount (ie Canon auto-focus mount eg EF-USM-L) series lens. so if your refering to the Canon A2e , then Yes they will mount and be usable on a DSLR. Model nomenclature is very important. As far as I know Canon never sold an AE2. They did however sell an AE1 and an EOS A2E.
The AE1 lenses won't work on any Canon DSLR because the mount is very different and these were manual focus lenses.
The EOS A2E lenses will work on any Canon DSLR. They will give you good results but you won't get any image stabilization with the older lenses. The auto focus will work just fine as well as the automatic exposure capability. Auto shutter speed is a unction of the camera body so it won't be a factor.
