Why do many Asian people like taking pictures so much -- eg Taiwanese. Japanese?
And also like posing in pics -- especially with the V sign. I'm doing a cultural study...

I'm married to a Taiwanese woman. We always have this problem:
- I want to take a wonderful landscape shot of the mountains and forrests - she wants to be right in the middle of it with her 'v sign'.
- I want to take a picture of a busy cityscape - she wants to be in the middle of the photo with the v sign going on.
Family photo albums in Taiwan tend to consist of thousands of photographs of utterly indistinguishable places from all around the world, all you can clearly see are the people posing with the magic v - page after page after page after p.......oh, and your expected to compliment the photographers skills - (yes, I love the way you've juxtaposed the v of your younger sisters left hand and nicely blocked out the pyramids with your 3rd eldest brother, genius!)
I guess it's kind of like branding the places, taming the beast etc.
I really like taking photographs and it really annoys me when my wife and I go on holiday - oh well - haha!
