Why cant I get the battery of my kodak easyshare camera to stay charged?
It is on the charging dock which is plugged in. I can transfer pictures, but the battery will not charge. If I put in regular batteries, the camera works fine. It is just the rechargable batteries that won't charge.

If you leave them on charge for long periods when they've obviously charged quickly, it damages the internal workings of the battery, I.e. placed on charge, becomes charged in two hours but you leavce the charger on for ten hours because your out, that wrecks them, this also applys to batterys in video cameras, cellular/mobile telephones and mp3 players with internal batterys

It may be dead. How long have you had the battery it can also be defective call the company and if it is under warranty I am sure they will send you a new one free of charge.
