Which underwater camera would you recommend - CanonA620 or Olympus? I am new to underwater photos?
I am not sure which model is better, and should I hold out for RAW format. Will I be sorry if I don't?

The key to underwater photos is a flash that is not on the same plane as the sensor. For example, the built in flashes will always show backscatter (light reflting back off particles in the water). Backscatter is bad -- it will look a major snowstorm.
And a flash is needed in all but the best condition (shallow depth, sunny skies, clear water).
So, start by looking at housings that can use a detached strobe. Ideally, using ttl metering. Then work backwards to get to camera models that support that same feature set. The Olympus models were very well regarded for this purpose.
