Which digital camera is better?
samsung 5times digital zoom,(my mom wants to buy me): olympus FE 170 6 megapixel ccd 3 times optimal zoom and 4 times digital zoom, or a fiji or just what do you suggest?

Olympus FE 170 is a nice camera! You can go all the way upto 16, 17MP professional DSLR digital camera. But for normal use, anything above 5 or 6MP would be fine. Try a Sony Cybershot.... working in tv 3ccd is very good but if you can find something with an optical zoom you will be better off digital zoom crops the picture only and you dont loose quality with optical olympus is the best brand out of those threee...personally i work with digital pictures ,i prefer a nikon L3 Go with the optical zoom. Digital zoom will give you are larger, close up but will be grainy.
Optical zoom is a true zoom. olympus but canon is really good too Canon has good digital cameras...

Optical zoom is the only type of zoom you should ever consider, because digital zoom is terrible, so that rules out the Samsung straight away.
The Olympus FE 170 is a very slow camera...with a lot of shutter lag and only average photo quality, so I would never consider it or recommend it.
Fujifilm make a couple of good cameras, but the only one I would recommend though, is the great little F30, but it might be too expensive.
So...perhaps you should try and get a better brand such as Canon or Sony, which unfortunately might be too costly...but you do pay for what you get.
