Does anyone know if the sony dsc-w55 camera take black & white pictures?
i just recently purchased it but i can't seem to find those settings...if it doesn't have it..could i still take it back?

I also can not remember at this moment. But why are you bothered? You take the picture in color, transfer it to your PC and then make it black & white, gray, sophia or what ever you like. You can do it by using any photo editing software. By this way, you can keep the photo in color in addition to in any form you like. To access Colour Mode...you need to turn on the camera, go to record/shoot mode and move the mode dial to P.
Then press MENU to display the Menu, and you can use the up/down and right/left arrows to select Color (color mode) which will allow you to change the Colour.
this information is on Page 30-32 of your user manual.
