Best camera for novice/indie director?
Whats the best, most affordable camera for an indie film maker?
Answers:
Video wise a good used Canon XL-1 and the two zooms they made for that camera.
If you can find a 16mm Eclair NPR or Arri, you would be in high cotton, but you will need at least two film magazines to shoot on the run as it were.
You can save a ton of money if you rent instead of buy. And you will get the chance to use different cameras before you decide which one you really want.
