Am I being ripped off??

Hi, I went to this local camera shop in town to sell my digital camera, now I have had it for just under 12 months now, it does not have one scratch on it and the clear protective cover that came on the screen has never ever been removed, it looks like you have just taken it out the box.

I have the box and all cables and books and they said they can offer me ￡40?

never sell back to shops, they just cant offer anything like you'd want for it. Sell privately and cut out the middle man, is what I do. Check free ad papers and magazines for free advertising.

:-] if you think you are, put it on ebay. if it doesnt sell, then take it back to the camera shop. just put it on ebay, if you don't want the option to buy it back craigslist is free.easier than ebay too A shop will never give a decent return on an item like that, as it isn't a big name brand camera like Nikon etc, so the re-sale value of a second hand camera like that is nothing like the initial cost, the question is why are you selling it?

Put an ad up in your local newsagents window or the local paper. it's 2nd hand like jewelry a piece of gold might be worth 300 but they'll only offer scrap value The shops have to make a profit so they do try to rip you off with low prices,put in in the free paper or on http://www.gumtree.com/ what do expect the item is secondhand and the shop as to make a profit you are not going to get top dollar for it, aoart from that prices are dropping on these items all the time. you have got to ask what would you pay for the same article S/H AND hope to make a profit. to be fair ￡40 does sound a little on the low side but it is a open marketplace. have you tried your local free ads what's the make a comp firm,
