Alternative ways to transfer pictures?
This may seem like a stupid question, but I'm really not good with electronics. Is there any way for me to transfer my pictures from my digital camera (Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S700) to my computer without using a USB cable? There's some sort of memory stick adaptor but I have no idea what it's supposed to do, and I don't think my laptop is compatible anyway.
Usually, I would just use the USB cable, but it has gone mysteriously missing.

You need a multi card reader. You can get them almost anywhere. It plugs into your USP port and then you remove the memory card from the camera and put it in the reader. This save your camera battery as well. Be careful removing and replacing the card.

By the way, don't worry about stupid questions. Those are only being asked in the politics forum. LOL! If you have Windows 2000 or later, plug the memory card from the camera into the memory stick adapter and plug it into your USB port. Hope that helps. Hmmm, you may want to buy a card reader (Under $20) and use it to transfer all your images in any case. It is much less prone to problems (like battery failure during downloads).
Some computers and printers have card readers on them, so you can use that method too.
