hope it helps Cannons are good, Kodak is a good easy camera It really depends on what you like and what you ar going to use it for Cost of the digitals are going down and quality up. Kodak is probably the most user friendly camera. Most of the others can be intmidating, if you are not savy. Take the time to try them out in the store. it will be time well spent. canon a570

samsung 630 or 730 Fiji does not make cameras but FUJI makes very good ones.

Anyway, Fuji FinePix F30. Canon PowerShot A630, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2 (if you like plenty of zoom), and Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55. canon A640 Try Nikon L12. It's a great camera with 7.2 megapixels and well within your budget.
