why am i getting electrical interference in my wireless digital video camera?

have camera placed in a fire truck, and when it records, there is bad interference. when in a room, works fine. why is this happening and how could i fix it? any suggestions would be grately appreciated.

You can pin point the interference by following these steps.

Start your camera recording and say into the camera..

"Turning ignition on (not starting the truck)."

wait 10 sec.

"Starting truck"

again with 10sec. delay

"Starting lights"

wait 10sec. again

"Starting siren"

wait 10sec again

You should be able to determine from this test what feature of your truck is causing the interference.

If this doesn't isolate the problem, don't go wireless! There is so much radio equipment in a fire truck and so many electronics that anything wireless will probably work terribly. There is too much interference from other electronics. Because the camera is wireless is most likely operates on a frequency. What i mean is that the video is getting encoded into a frequency of hertz and broadcasted into the air. The receiver then tunes into that particular frequency and picks up the video feed. Also if you have large electrical supply units (for example a 100 amp service around it may also can interference.There is not much you can do to solve this problem. First try to turn off unnecessary electronics that may be broadcasting a large number of frequencies or try to change to another frequency on the camera. Other then that, there is not much else you can do. Sorry, its a problem that even the professionals deal with.
