what mean 4.1mm and 1:2.6 in camcorder?

i salute for earl d! that d way to do it earl d! it's probably referring to the lens. It should have more than 4.1mm it should be more like:

4.1~81mm which would indicate a 20x zoom going from 4.1 mm wide angle to 81mm telephoto. This is the focal length of the lens which varies for a zoom lens. IT is the distance from the front element to the back element in millimeters.

The 1:2.6 means it's an f/2.6 lens. This is a fraction or ratio. The smaller the number the more light gathering power (lower lux) This a 1:1.9 can shoot in lower light without light amplification tools and a 1:3.1 would shoot in higher light.

Let's say, for arguments sake 1:1.8 requires 1 Lux then 1:2.6 would require 2 lux and 1:3.2 would require closer to 3 lux of light.

A Lux is eqivalent to a church candle, although a birthday candle is somewhat close.

1 lux is one foot candle at one foot in distance.

The F opening is obtained by dividing the millimeters in diameter of the front lens into the millimeters of the focal length, in the case of a zoom this often varies or is fixed at one setting.

It is probbaly fixed at the most telephoto location or 81 or 85 or 90mm and would indicate that your front lens is between 32 and 35 mm wide (1 1/2 inches). An f/1.9 lens would be closer to 2" wide. An f 3.5 lens would be closer to 1" wide.
