Assuming you have connected the camcorder to the PC correctly using a firewire (IEEE1394 or DV) cable, you would only need to run the video editing program (install it from the CD that came with your camcorder), and import/download the video from the camcorder to the PC. Which kind of computer do you have? if you have a mac you need a mini DV cable with firewire. After plugging in the camera open iMovie and click import. If you have a PC just follow the supplied directions.
