Depends on what you are hooking it into. Firewires have two different types of jacks. One side is normally very small and thin, and probably that side will go into the camcorder, the other side can look exactly the same, or look like a fatter, pointier USB port. You need to know if your computer has a firewire port, it will look just like the port on the camcorder or will look like the fat USB port. If it doesn't have a port, you may be able to buy a port card (if you have a card slot. I don't think it matters what firewire cable you buy, as long as it fits in where it needs to fit.
