What are the pros and cons of DVD Camcorder vs Hard Drive Camcorder? Any specific brand/model recomm

Hard drive just is easier and more conveniant and cheaper over time.. Go with the hard drive. get the jvc everio.. JVC invented the hard drive camcorder and they have haad more time to perfect it.. My best suggestion is to stay away from the HDD camcorders.
I work at (insert dept store here) electronics department and have mingled with them heavily, and the quality is so bad. A cheaper sub $300 miniDV camcorder will easily surpass the HDD and the DVD camcorders no problem.
The DVD and HDD were not built for quality, they were built for old people and people who know nothing or little about electronics.
But if you still want a HDD, get a Sony DCR-SR40 or the 80GB model DCR-SR80
